For those who watched this new season (released in 2014), be careful! Indeed, IMAHORI Tsuneo's music, who were used in the episodes of Rising, are not included here. So, we have only compositions of HIRANO Yoshihisa (Death Note, Himitsu ~The Revelation~, Real Drive, Hajime no Ippo New Challenger). His speciality is orchestral music (and definitely not electronic music!).
My feelings about this album are pretty much the same as the previous one, Hajime no Ippo New Challenger (2009). That is to say, quite mixed. On one hand, we have some beautiful orchestral musics (but not unforgettable); on the other hand, most of rock compositions are really disappointing.

Honestly, from this album, I would only take: "Resolution" (n°1), wonderful theme played with strings, and harp, accompanied from 2 minutes by a electric guitar. Just great! And "The finisher" (n°13), very catchy composition used during the fight scenes, with a progressive increase in intensity. The combinaison strings/electronic sonorities is quite successful. "Rising" could have been the name of this track.

Basically, an album not as good as the previous one, which is exclusively reserved to fans. For the others, I highly recommend both OST of the first serie, composed by IMAHORI Tsuneo (Gungrave, Trigun).
